Can PCOS Or Ginette Cause Problems In Conceiving?
YOU CAN'T BE PREGNANT WHILE TAKING GINETTE-35.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for writing to us.
1) Ginette-35 contains Cyproterone Acetate and Ethinylestradiol as ingredients and is used to treat PCOS. You should take the pill regularly on scheduled time for 21 days according to prescription and give 7 days gap to get regular period.
2) It also acts as CONTRACEPTIVE pill and you CAN'T be pregnant during the course of treatment. You should take the medicine for at least 6 months to get effective result.
3) When you would plan for pregnancy or try to conceive, you MUST STOP Ginette-35 for at least 3 months to regain fertility.
If you still get IRREGULAR period (after completion of course), then you can take progesterone supplement from D16 to D25 (instead of combined hormonal pill) to get period regularly. Other supportive treatment may be required. You must consult with your GYNECOLOGIST regarding this.
4) In addition, you would take healthy diet (LOW CARBOHYDRATE) with more green vegetables, drink more water, keep bowel habit regular, avoid mental stress by meditation or yoga, control body weight by regular physical exercise (must NEEDED to get regular period) and maintain genital hygiene properly.

Hello,
Thanks for follow up query.
First, you should complete the initial 3 months course of treatment and if you get period regularly on date (after stopping medicine), then you can try for pregnancy.
Otherwise, you should continue the same treatment for another 3 months duration for better result. Kindly, consult with your Gynecologist regarding this.
