Brief Answer:
Leg ulcer-prednisone,ibuprofen,clindamycin drug interaction

Detailed Answer:

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
Advil is ibuprofen, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID).Clindamycin is an antibiotic of the lincosamide class. There is no drug interaction between prednisone and either of these two drugs. However both ibuprofen & prednisone can cause gastro-intestinal side effects in the form of heartburn, dyspepsia ,gastric erosion etc. Hence they should be taken after food along with antacid e.g. proton pump inhibitor like pantoprazole.
Leg ulcer may be due to venous stasis due to varicose vein. In that case ulcer will heal up on treatment of varicose vein.If you are diabetic ,ulcer also will heal slowly.Chronic non-healing ulcer may be due to Tuberculosis.

Thanks Dr. Biswas, that's helpful. The diabetes tests were negative. What is you opinion on something called Solcoseryl gel? I read about it but haven't tried it.

Brief Answer:
Solcoseryl gel & non-healing ulcer

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.

Solcoseryl increases reparative and regenerative processes, contributes to activation of metabolic processes and oxidative phosphorylation reactions.
Solcoseryl ointment and gel are used in:
Badly healing wounds
Bed sores
You must apply Solcoseryl only after the wound is cleaned with antiseptics. Solcoseryl should not be used in known hypersensitivity or allergy to protein-free extract of calf blood or you have some religious feeling or restrictions.

Brief Answer:
Leg ulcer

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
It looks like badly infected leg ulcers with pus discharge. In addition to Fusidic acid ointment you should take systemic antibiotic which covers staphylococcus.Antibiotic like clindamycin or linezolid (also available in oral form) will help.
