Can RHP Nerve Support Formula Be Taken For Neuropathic Pain?

Question: I was recently diagnosed with idiopathic neuropathy. I had fairly mild symptoms until now. On 12/15/15 I had Lumbar decompression laminectomy with fusion of L5-3. During my recovery the symptoms of neuropathy have greatly increased. I was prescribed 300 mg. gabapentin, 2x day. It does not help with the pain or numbness. My question is if you recommend the RHP Nerve Support Formula and why.
Brief Answer:
Nerve compression pain would not be relieved with RHP Nerve support formula
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
I have gone thorough your query and understand your concerns. Neurogenic pain is often hard to manage. Nerve functioning requires certain B vitamins as cofactors. RHP Nerve Support Formula is nothing but a combination of B Vitamins (available otherwise at cheaper generic preparations over the counter). You can take them but I doubt if it would be of any use in your case. The reason of this infecrence is that the pain in your case is due to nerve compression and not due to vitamin deficiency.
Let me know if I need to clarify further.

The pain I am asking about is typical of neuropathy. The skin of my right shin is very tender to touch. It feels like I have a bad sunburn. It hurts to dry with a towel after a shower. The tingling and sensitive pain seems to be getting worse and starting to move to left leg. My right leg feels like it has bruises and I have tingling in both gluts.
Brief Answer:
These are due to nerve compression
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back. Sorry for not being able to respond faster.
I have mentioned exactly about the same thing. Neuropathy means related to pathology of nerves. Neurogenic means that which originates from the nerves. Both are basically the same thing. Your symptoms are due to compression of the supplying spinal nerves as they originate from either side of the vertebral column.
Spinal traction and physical therapy should be useful for you. Please talk to your doctor about the same.
