Can Reclimet Or Glucobay Cause Low BP?

Question: I am a diabetic for the past 30 years.I am also detected having Essential Thrombocytosis(ET) for the past 6 years.I have been taking Hydroxuris for this.I discontinued Hydroxuria since my Hb has come sown to 8.2 making me stop taking hydroxuria since March this year. Cardiologis told me that there is mild variation in the TNT and wanted me to raise the Hb to normal levels.Is there any history that regular intake of Reclimet or Glucobay 50 causes low BP. My BP in now around 106/54

I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
You have diabetes and essential thrombocytosis. You are taking anti diabetic drug and hydroxyurea. Hydroxyurea is used to reduce the chance of clotting. But if your hemoglobin level is low then you can stop it.

Reclimate and glocobay don't cause low blood pressure. However reclimate may causes hemolytic anemia.

You should search other cause for your low blood pressure.
Continue your treatment to increase the hemoglobin level.
