Can Regestrone Affect Pregnancy Test Results?
Question: Married ,26yrs old. Consumed one regestrone each dayfor 3 days to delay my periods.(Aug 25,26,27).Had unprotected intercourse weekly twice in August month.My expected period date was on Friday Aug 28. But till today( 1st Sep) I didn't get my periods.
1)should I go for a urine sample pregnancy test?
2?Will regestrone consumption for those 3 days show any false positives during my pregnancy test?
3) If not any of these also, please suggest.

At the outset I would like further details for better assessment like
If you can tell about the exact dates of unprotected sex because unprotected contact near the ovulation can cause pregnancy which occurs 14 days prior to next expected period (in your case roughly it comes near 14th August so unprotected sex during the period between 8 to 20th August has more chances of conception)
You should go for urine pregnancy test to rule out the pregnancy
Regestrone doesn't have any effect on results of urine pregnancy test.
Withdrawl bleeding generally occurs 3 to 7 days after stoppage of regestrone so you should wait for at least 10 days ( till 6 sept ) for spontaneous periods to occur
If you don't get periods or urine pregnancy test comes positive than you need to see a gynaecologist for an ultrasound and further course of action

Hi thanks for your response. And yes we had unprotected intercourse on 9,10,12,16th of Aug. Also pls confirm if its OK to have intercourse if periods is delayed and before confirming pregnancy?

Chances of pregnancy might be there so you should go for urine pregnancy card test
It doesn't make any difference if you do intercourse with delayed period with or without pregnancy, it is OK.
It's always better to diagnose pregnancy as earlier possible.

I did the urine test with the strip today at home and it was positive. So I further have given for beta hcg blood test .
Hence pls confirm if this test results are enough to confirm pregnancy? Or should I recheck with any other test?
Also pls tell me the hcg levels which confirms pregnancy in this test.

Blood HCG level of more than 5 mIU per ml is significant, which is suggestive of pregnancy.
Blood HCG level varies according to period of gestational or duration of pregnancy
till 3rd week of pregnancy it will be 5 to 50 mIU per ml
4th week 5 to 400 and 5th week 15 to more than 1000 would be related to pregnancy.
Urine and blood HCG test is sufficient to confirm pregnancy however tranvaginal sonography is advisable to rule out ectopic pregnancy means presence of gestational sacred outside of uterus.
