Can STD Be Contracted Through Non-penetrative Sexual Activity?

default
Posted on Tue, 22 Dec 2015
Question: I went to a massage spa and briefly touched the clitoris of the masseuse with my finger tips. I had no cuts at all and washed my hands afterwards. I even used sanitizer. Are there any risks of catching an STD?

Brief Answer:
no risk of STD

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns

You went to a massage therapist and in the session you touched the masseuse's vaginal area. This is not associated with any risk of STD. To transmit a STD you have to be much mire intimate with the person. You must have engaged in intercourse. Just touch will not cause transmission of any STD.
