Can STD Be Transmitted Through Non Penetrative Sexual Activities?

default
Posted on Wed, 2 Dec 2015
Question: If I only fingered a woman with no other activities and washed my hands well after is there any chance of exposure to anything? I could possibly had a very small fingernail cut on my hand. I did not see any blood from fingering. I'm a worrier and want to confirm with an expert. Thank you

I meant to post for you and posted in duplicate...can you respond asap..thx

Brief Answer:
Chances are close to non-existent in my opinion

Detailed Answer:
Hello sir and welcome.

Thank you for writing to me.

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. Even if you did have an open wound on your finger, and assuming that the female was positive with some infection, the chances of you contracting any serious infection (e.g. HIV) was lower than 1 %.

As you did mention that you did not even notice or see any blood, in my opinion the chances of you contracting anything at all is close to non-existent sir. In this case, I would like to applaud your presence of mind by washing your hands well enough after fingering the woman. Continue to be safe and healthy always sir.

I hope you find my response helpful. Please do not hesitate to write to me for any further clarifications, I am always here to help.

Best wishes.

Brief Answer:
Vaginal fingering is not even listed as a source of transmission

Detailed Answer:
Hello once again sir.

Sure, please feel free to ask me anything.

No.

No.

28 days after exposure: go about a test called HIV DUO test which reports 98.9 % accuracy at the time

I think so yes sir.

Please do not apologise. I should also let you know that vaginal fingering is not even listed as a source of transmission of HIV, only because it is not possible. :)

Hope this helps you sir. :)

Best wishes.
