Can STD Cause Abnormal Vaginal Bleeding?

Irregular mensturation can be a sign of STD
Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us
I am dr.kakkar (dermatologist and venereologist). I have gone through your query and I have noted your concern.
Yes, irregular mensturation can be a sign of STD, particularly Cervicitis and Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID) but irregular mensturation is not the only thing that makes one think in terms of an STD.
STDs usually present with discharge or ulcer/ sore/ pimple.
Therefore, as far as pimple on vulva is concerned it could be a presentation of an STD Or i could be due to a trivial cause like folliculitis. I suggest you to present yourself for examination to a dermatologist/ venereologist for a physical examination to look for any more lesions.
I would also suggest an STD screen for HSV (Genital Herpes), VDRL (Syphilis), HIV as well as a swab test/ urine test for gonorrhea and chlamydia, particularly if yours was an unprotected sexual contact and your boyfriend has had other sexual partners, either concurrently or in the past Or if you are unsure about his sexual history.
Regards
