Can STD Or HIV Be Contracted Through Non-penetrative Sexual Activity?

default
Posted on Tue, 6 Oct 2015
Question: I am a 60 year old man I was approached in corridor of a high class hotel for a massage. I agreed, first and only time in my life, fingered the sex worker in XXXXXXX while drunk, very wet and we rubbed genital areas together while she gave me a massage.
We kissed lightly and she kissed my balls no blowjob and then I masturbated with semen going all over each other. We showered together rubbing each other all over.
Could this be infectious as 5 hours later I have a warm lightly burning feeling around my balls.

Brief Answer:
STD/HIV risk are negligible.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Thanks for posting your query.

Hep A and B will provide protection against Hepatitis A and B. So you will unlikely to get these infections.
The risk of STD and HIV are negligible with fingering, genital rubbing and kissing. Masturbation has no risk.
STDs would take more than 2-3 days to 2-4 months to show manifestation according to the incubation period of each and every disease. Earliest HIV manifestation can occur after 3-4 weeks after exposure if infected and not earlier than this.
Burning over scrotum 5 hours after the exposure was unlikely be due to HIV/STD.
Tests for STD/HIV are the final.

I did briefly kiss and suck her nipples but as I said it was more of a foolish touch and rub. I have now felt warm all over my front body (nipples and above crotch) probably just a kind of friction burn?
I assume from your reply that on this occasion, chances of getting an STI are very low?

Just wondering as I will shortly be going home to wife. Will tell if essential but will keep this quiet unless you advise me different at this stage and although no real other symptoms yet , do you have any further advice for me re sex at home
Thank you

Brief Answer:
Rule out HIV with test before resume sex with wife

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back.
Except that of fingering, all other activities including sucking the breast have almost nil risk. It is better to have a test for HIV 12 weeks after the episode. After ruling out the negligible possibility, you can resume sex with your wife. Till then safe sex is good.

Thought you would say this.
Saying something will probably terminate my marriage. Safe sex with a condom will be a problem as we've never used a condom in 30 years and starting now would make her suspicious.

But I am aware I should never have been so stupid.
Im in Kenya and she was 35 with a 6 year old child.
In percentage terms, roughly what chance is there of infection?
Have my Hepatitus injections further reduced my chances of infection?
What sexual practices would have increased the risk? No I did not have penetrative or oral sex.
Any other suggestions re safe sex with my wife? or practises needing to be avoided for 12 weeks?
Many thanks

What other symptoms do I need to keep a close watch out for

Brief Answer:
Your risk for HIV is negligible.Abstinence from sex with wife till rule out

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back.
I can understand your concern.

Your hepatitis vaccine have nothing to do with HIV risk.

Anal sex and vaginal sex are having considered to have high risk for HIV and oral sex has a low risk. All other types sexual behaviors carry only negligible risk as per CDC, XXXXXXX whose guidelines are followed world wide.
So all your sexual activities came under negligible risk category only.
Alternative to safe sex with your wife is excuse from sex through one way or other till you get a negative HIV result, if you have a real concern for her.
