Question: Hello, I was current on 100mg Seroquel with 1250mg depakote and 50mg of Zoloft.for Bipolar one. I asked my Psychiatrist if I could take an extra 50mg of Seroquel. I told her I'd feel safer on it because of the prayers I used to hear. She said 100mg was the recommended dose for depression. I hope she didn't think I was talking about the Zoloft because I just started that two days ago. Anyway, I guess my point is, is, 150mg of Seroquel is a rather good dose am I right? 100,150wouldnt make that much difference would it or would it. And it's safe at that dose with my other meds?. I tried to call her back, but I guess she's done with phone calls now. Can I get some reassurance that it's OK?

Brief Answer:
Consultation

Detailed Answer:
Hello, and thanks for your question.

I would contact your psychiatrist to clarify that she was understanding you correctly about which medication you wanted to increase. I would NOT increase the Seroquel without your psychiatrist's permission. Remain at the current dose.
