In medical textbooks, there is some mention of fever and lymphadenopathy but no mention of increased basophils as such. If basophils increased after start of sertraline, then it maybe related.
Basophils can be increased in inflammations and allergies, and in presence of parasites. So if you are allergic to any medicine then, basophils can increase.
