Can Shivalik Herbal Products Be Taken Along With Fertyl-M?
Question: fertyl m 25 mg can i take this tablet with shivakalika herbal products .will this help me overcome from this problem how much time it ll take to cure

1. Is fertyl m (clomiphene) being prescribed to you as primary drug or as replacement to Testosterone therapy and Hcg?
2. The said drug is FDA approved only in woman and clinical efficacy in men is not established ( particularly with low sperm count), so for what purpose exactly this drug is prescribed to you?
3. Since clomiphene has few undesirable side effects and is relatively SAFE but interaction with herbal agents do occur so if you can list the ingredients of ' XXXXXXX kallika" products, I'll be in a better position to explain the same.

Oligoasthenozoospermia & Ayurveda
Detailed Answer:
. Going through your reports,which is suggestive of 'Oligoasthenozoospermia' which means there is reduced sperm motility (45% in your case)... [Normal: > 60] and low spermatozoon count ( 18.5 million/ml in your case)... [ Normal: 50-150 mil/ml] following guidelines are mentioned:
a. Since cause of your mentioned diagnosis is 'idiopathic' (where no cause is found) thus one has to think that there is an underlying genetic (chromosomal/hereditary) cause of the same but at the same time look for any disease like Varicocele or inflammation.
b. You may continue with clomiphene ( 25 mg daily for 25 days then 5 day gap for 3 months or can ask for Kallikrein (orally or as injection) for 7 weeks.
c. Diet:
Avoid:clove, smoking, maintain ideal weight, hot bath,tight undergarments.
Take: antioxidant diet rich in Vitamin C-E- and Selenium, fresh fruits and vegetables, loose undergarments,jaggery,pomegranate, barley water
d. juice of white onion: 8 gm
juice of garlic: 6 gm
honey:
cow's ghee: 20 gm.... mix all and consume for 40 days
e. Avoid constipation
f. Addyzoa (CHARAK) has been found to be effective in men with idiopathic oligo astheno teratospermia and
. Speman (HIMALAYA) promotes spermatogenesis by improving testicular, seminal vesicles and epididymal function and improves thw quality of semen by increasing the LH-FSH producing basophil cells in the pituitary.
PS. It is advisable to consult an Endocrinologist if testicular function do not improve in spite of long term treatment.

1. Barley water: first clean barley and soak overnight,thereafter soft cook (7-8 whistles) in pressure cooker and then let it cool, thereafter strain the water and add salt or lime to taste.
2. The mixture roughly adds upto 50gm: this amount has to be taken im divided doses for 40 days.
3. Selenium is a trace element needed by body for proper functioning of thyroid, improvement of immune system and above all is a good ANTI OXIDANT (as described earlier) so take: brown rice,cabbage,spinach, brocolli,brazils nuts,flex-sesame-sunflower seeds.
