Hello.
Welcome to Healthcare Magic.
Yes, Sinemet and Targin can be taken together. There is no significant interaction between these drugs that would explain any possible effect.
The actual symptoms doesn't seem to be related with the combination of the drugs .
Hallucinations (particularly visual hallucinations) and confusion are common side effects of Sinemet .You should discuss this with her treating doctor .He may decide to lower the dose of the treatment.
Hope it helps.

Detailed Answer:
Hello again.
In patients with Parkinson disease ,every stressful situation like surgeries, infections carry the risk of precipitating episodes of hallucinations and confusion.
None of the drugs that she has been taking has any interaction with the Parkinsons's medication that would explain the symptoms.
The doctor with do some tests to exclude any pathological cause like infections, electrolyte imbalance, dehydration etc.
If all the tests are normal ,they may decide to lower the dose of Sinemet or decide to stop the treatment until the episode of psychosis resolves.
Let me know if you have any other question or doubts to clarify.
Take care.
