Thank you Doctor XXXXXXX XXXXXXX for your answer to my initial question.
I guess I might say that my doctor is "experimenting" on me with her RX for Osphena that I started in Feb. 2015. For several years, I have suffered from vaginal atrophy without finding a cure or satisfactory palliative. Previously, I had been prescribed the usual hormone treatments with no real benefit and had experienced some uncomfortable side effects that we think were hormone related. In desperation with the hope of finding a physician with specialized knowledge of treatments for acute vaginal atrophy, I went to the UCLA Gynecological Clinic. The physician there did the usual cultures and even a biopsy both turning out to be neg. The doctor did not know much about osphena I had already started to take.
Since then I have felt "some" limited improvement in the most irritated vaginal tissues. Unfortunately I began having muscle cramps and pain in my articulations about 2 months ago; concluding that this new discomfort might be associated with Osphena I reviewed all this with my regular doctor and she approved my suggestion that I try moderated dosages by taking the pills every 2 days . But the cramps and joint pains have not gone away.
Knowing now that Osphena, Tamsulosin and Amitriptyline are compatible, perhaps I should simply concentrate on how I use the Osphena and what else I might try to deal with these apparently related side effects. I should note that vitamin D is part of my daily vitamin intake but I have not taken calcium for a while. I do drink abundant liquids: juices, water, and mild herbal teas. (I do not drink coffee or teas with caffeine). I am quite prepared to start calcium again and to try other things that might help.
I suppose that my summary question now is that with all this background do you have suggestions that I might consider. I had hoped that you might have some "cyber patients" with acute vaginal atrophy who have found improvements using Osphena and from whose experience you might have suggestions to pass on to me.
Thank you for any insight you might have,

Brief Answer:
Calcium and bitamin D3 are must
Detailed Answer:
Yes mam, i had two patients with similar complaints.
one was a cyber patient who wasnt feeling benefitted with treatment so was lost to follow up.
Another one had very good response and eventually stopped seeking advice as she was satisfied with the response.
But noone did a mention about of muscld cramps as i was trained ti routinely supplement it with calcium and vitamin D3.
So to sum up our discussion i advice you to take vitamin d3 and calcium regularly and a light walk daily as if the involved joints are left on their own without activity because of the fear of more pain then they start bothering even more.
Take care.
