Tizanidine doesn't cause positive UDS

Detailed Answer:
Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related doubts

Tizanidine is an adrenergic agonist drug with no actions on GABA receptors. The drug will not result false positive Urine Drug Screen.

You are taking Lexapro which is a SSRI drug. I could not find association of Lexapro with positive UDS but another SSRI drug Sertraline is known to result in false positive UDS for benzodiazepines.

Estrace is also safe.

So out of these medicines I could not find any drug that is strongly associated with false positive UDS.

I'm slowly weaning off of the Lexapro. It will be interesting to see if this is the problem. I will follow up with an answer after my next testing. It is frustrating to have to defend yourself when being accused of taking non prescribed meds. I never have taken anything but what is prescribed & in my records, but have been treated very negatively which doesn't help with my depression. Thanks for your help.

Get repeat test after stopping Lexapro.

Yes you can wean off Lexapro and if after that test comes negative then we can find an association. Yes if you are not using any non-prescribed drugs and the test comes positive then that is really frustrating. Wait till you stop using Lexapro.
