Question: My husband just started taking Votrient 200 mg, is there a problem with having oral sex?

votrient may reduce your husband's capacity to withstand infection and it may also cause various problems that may impair sexual performance. Sometimes the side effects may cause serious danger for the patient's health, particularly if they also have other medical problems.

For example, a patient with heart disease may experience problems due to the drug induced hypertension or arrhythmias. A patient prone to heart related problems may experience more severe side effects when the load on the heart is increased (like when the patient is having sex).

So in conclusion he'd better use a condom to avoid exposure to various pathogens (like CMV or HSV for example) and consult his cardiologist regarding his ability to withstand a sexual contact. If he had no heart problems in the past then it's very likely that he'll have no problems now...
