Question: Please find attached following blood tests and ct scan report for my mum. I know this is a poor prognosis but how much time do I have with my mum left. Can a CT say cancer as I thought biopsy was needed to confirm

ALT 261 U/L
ALP 570 U/L
Bilirubin 157 umol/L

CT shows head if pancreas cancer affecting local blood vessels and causing lymphadenopathy and biliary obstruction

Is this stage 4?

I don't think this is 4 stage unless it is spread in lungs and liver.
Anyway head of pancreas affecting lymph nodes and biliary duct is an advanced stage.
No one can say how much time is left but it is an advanced stage.

Not sure if she can have any kind of treatment they say it's unlikely as she doesn't seem fit enough though her appetite is picking up.

She is having a stent today as she is very jaundiced. Will this work for jaundice?

I am so scared of losing her. Will she be ok and can I still have her for 12 months if no treatment can be done.

I don't understand how her bloods can be normal as doctors first said they are very reassuring even the LFTs to now be told she is terminal. Can a CT alone tell you its all cancer?

How long can you live with a stent? I have read on Internet mum will only get 2 months if lucky. Is that right or can I have more time like 12 months
