Can A Boil On The Side Of The Nose Be Treated?
Question: How to treat a boil on the side of my nose right under the eye. It just appeared out of nowhere so I think it's a boil. It looks like a great big zit and I'ver never had anything like this before. I put some bacitracin on it.
I can send a photo of it from my phone.Where can I send a picture from my phone?
I sent two pictures, the second is better.
In a bad place because it's hard to wear my glasses with this!
Not sure if there's anything I can do but wait for it to go away.

I sent a picture. I'll try to send it again! I just uploaded it again.
Today it's still red and raised. Maybe it's a boil.

Brief Answer:
It is a boil - due to bacterial infection - possibly due to Staphylococcus
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back. I have checked the attached image. It clearly points to a bacterial infection (boil). I would insist you to apply some topical antibacterial ointment like bacitracin, clindamycin, mupirocin or gentamicin for the next few days. Oral antibiotics like clarithromycin or cotrimoxazole can also be tried.
Mild hot compress can help.
Feel free to write back.
Regards
