Can A Cat Get Bartellnosis From A Human

Question: Can a cat get bartellnosis from a human
Brief Answer:
Only if the blood from an infected human gets in contact with cats blood
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for using "Ask a Aoctor" service.
Cats can get Bartonella from fleas who are infected.
They can get it also from other infected blood like for example from infected catfights.
If a human has Bartonella can transmit it only if the blood of the human gets in contact with the blood of the cat. But in that moment the cat has probably contracted the Bartonella from other sources and it is not causing anything to the cat.
I hope this answers your question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Kind regards,
