Can A Chlamydia Test Be Done After Taking Tracon?
Need more information
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
I understand your concern.
In my opinion chlamydia is a bacteria which needs special kind of growth requirements.
The medicines you mentioned are polygynax and tracon.
Polygynax is a combination of anti fungal so it does not have any effect on chlamydia.
I need information like:-
1) Is tracon Itraconazole? please confirm it. I would like to know how much dosage (Both) have you taken so far?
2) What is the type of chlamydia test you are going for?
3) What for the test is being done?
Polygynax has no effect on chlamydia but it’s advisable that not use any vaginal creams or douches before going to test.
So stop using any creams in side vagina 24 hrs before going to test.
But kindly provide me the information regarding the tracon so that I can tell you whether it influences chlamydia test if any.
Looking forward to hear from you.

Genital chalmydia is what i wanna do because i feel a burn in my urine and an itch and burn on my vagina
The medicines might not affect the test
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, I got your information.
In my opinion both polygynax and tracon are anti fungal and they have no affect on chlamydia.
But it’s better to avoid vaginal pessaries and douches 24 hours prior to test.
So if possible better give a gap of 24 hours and then go for the test.
Chlamydia is a natural commensal in 1/3 rd of people. Chlamydia is commonly seen sexually transmitted infection.
If the test is positive and cause of urinary tract infection (UTI) comes to be Chlamydia you need not worry. A course of antibiotics will help you.
In UTI :-
1) You need to take adequate fluids up to 2 to 3 liters.
2) Coconut water and cranberry juice are also helpful.
Practice safe sex practice like condom.
It is good if your partner is also tested for sexually transmitted infections.
There are many causes for UTI
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
In my opinion the burn feeling on vagina may be due to infection of vagina that is vaginitis.
The causes of vaginitis are:-
1)Trichomonia- It causes trichomoniasis.
2) Candidiasis- It is a fungal infection by candida.
3) Chlamydial infection.
4) Gonorrheal infection.
5) Inflammation of vagina due to usage of any contraceptives, injury during intercourse, chemicals and drugs.
Causes of UTI are:-
1) Trichomoniasis.
2) Chlamydial infection.
3) Gonorrheal infection.
4) Dehydration.
5) Bladder infection like cystitis.
6) Any renal stone.
The above said are the causes of vaginitis and UTI.
Sometimes infections may coexist with each other.
Whatever may be the cause with apt treatment it will subside you need not worry.
Hope this satisfies your query.
Good luck ...Dr. Srilatha
urine test report is reflecting UTI
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,I saw your urine test report.Iam sorry for your condition.
In my opinion the urine test report is reflecting UTI(urinary tract infection) .
The haziness of urine is due to presence of WBC(white blood cells) in urine.
The presence of 8 to 10 WBC and RBC(red blood cells) suggests UTI.
The presence of 1+ ketone bodies in urine might suggest starvation. With proper intake of food ketone bodies might disappear.
To know the type of bacteria and the type of antibiotic to which the bacteria type is sensitive urine culture and sensitivity is recommended.
So I suggest you to go for urine culture and sensitivity which helps for the precise selection of antibiotic after discussing with your doctor.
Supportive treatment is:-
1)Adequate fluid intake upto 2 to 3 litres.
2)Cranberry juice daily. It helps to flush out the bacteria attached to urinary tract wall.
3)Coconut water is also helpful.
Dont worry with supportive treatment and proper antibiotic course UTI will subside.
Hope this satisfies your query.
Best regards...Dr.srilatha.
you can continue the intercourse with condom.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear ,I got your query.
I am happy to know that culture test is given
In my opinion if the test is positive and there is exclusive UTI without any vaginal infection you might continue the intercourse with condom.
You can go on with condom till the result of the report. But if there is associated with vaginal infection better to avoid intercourse till you finish the course of medicines(Antibiotics). Because the burning and soreness of vagina might be increased resulting in discomfort during intercourse.
But if you are comfortable you can continue with condom.
Hope this is satisfactory.

Urine sample can be used instead of vaginal swab
Detailed Answer:
Dear madam,I understand your concern.
In my opinion chlamydia can be diagnosed by different methods like:-
1)Culture of vaginal or endocervical secretions.
2)Immunoassay- detecting the antibodies against chlamydial infection.
3)Nucleic acid amplification test(NAAT).
NAAT is highly sensitive and specific of all to diagnose chlamydial infection.
So NAAT helps in detecting the chlamydia in urine sample and avoids the discomfort associated with collection of vaginal swab.
Non gonococcal infection is the condition where in chlamydial infection is associated with Mycoplasma ,ureoplasma but not with gonococcus.
Diagnosis of chlamydia, ureoplasma might also be done by polymerase chain reaction(PCR) by urine sample.
You might discuss with your doctor regarding the tests and go for them.
Hope this satisfies your query.
