Question: The Adderalls I usually take is a peach colored tablet. My last refill is white and smaller. I feel no effects whatsoever. Is it possible that a pharmacist will substitute a sugar pill. I ask this because my last doctor's visit indicated that my no was high. I do NOT have high bp. I am a 68 year old female with fibromyalgia. My doctor thought I was going to stroke out. 170/100. I told her I did it to myself by eating salty snacks a lot while watching tv in bed. I mean a of salt. I use CVS Pharmacy. Why do they change companies? Easy answer I guess.....cheaper meds. My Adderall is 15 mg. I take 2 in the am and 1 in the aft. I took 4 today. They dissolve in my mouth instantly with absolutely no taste and no difference in how I feel. Fibro people lack energy. Taking No Doze or drinking 2 cups of coffee would have been better. Please tell me the truth. Can a doctor request sugar pills from a pharmacist?

Brief Answer:
Considerations.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for the query.

No a doctor will not have a pharmacist dispense a placebo or sugar pills as an alternative to a prescription medication.

What likely occurred is the pharmacy is now purchasing the drug from a different manufacturer which is why the pill is a different size and color.

Thank you again for sending the query.
