Can A Low Pulse Rate Be A Source Of Headaches?
Question: Can a low pulse rate be a source of headaches? My pulse rate is in the low 40's - in part due to a beat blocker I take for high blood pressure.
Brief Answer:
no...
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
the low heart rate is not adequate to explain your headaches. The use of a beta blocker may be enough though. Some beta blockers may cause headache fairly commonly. Besides that your pulse rate is unacceptably low. 40 something is too low and you start to have symptoms of faintness or even collapse. The dosage of the beta blocker should be modified appropriately to aim for around 60 beats per minute.
I hope you find my comments helpful!
Kind Regards!
