Brief Answer:
I think get tested after 3 months.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Most individuals test positive after 3 months and only few after 6 months.
So I would suggest to repeat a test after 3 months.

But this recent tests are also assuring, so that should relieve your worry to some extent.

Hope this helps. Please ask if there are doubts.Regards.

Brief Answer:
No, I dont mean that.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I mean most individuals who have been actually infected take upto 3 months to show positive result. Some may take 6 months before test shows positive results.

So this is window period where tests might be negative, even in infected person.

Brief Answer:
Yes, thats true.

Detailed Answer:
Rate of transmission by needle are comparatively quite low.In addition to blood not being there, you must have not poked too deep as well.

Also virus does not survive when exposed to dry air. This can help in case needle was exposed to air for some time before you got poked.

In all chances of infection are pretty low and tests will confirm this.

Regards.

Brief Answer:
Empirical antiviral treatment is an option.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Empirical antiviral treatment is an option. But generally it is tried in first few days of exposure. But still you can discuss this with your doctor.

One more RNA test is there, you can try it.It shows early results and that can relieve your anxiety sooner.
