Can A Person With Chlamydia Contract Gonorrhea?
Gonorrhea and chlamydia frequently co-exist
Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us
I have gone through your query and I have noted down your concern.
Equivocal hsv- 2 after two months of sexual encounter and in the presence of hsv- 1 infection, would most likely turn up as negative, if you test around 3-4 months time. Hsv type - 1 infection can cause equivocal hsv type - 2 results.
Chlamydia and gonorrhea are very often associated and it is a protocol to treat for both of these infections simultaneously. Treatment of choice for gonorrhea is infection ceftriaxone 250 mg I/M whereas for chlamydia, it is usually a single 1 gm dose of azithromycin.
I suggest that you visit a doctor in your region for the needful

I suggest treatment only if you have symptoms Or after lab confirmation
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
At 10 days there is high probability for the Hsv screening test to be negative. Ideally you should do this test after 3-4 months of exposure, so there is no harm in waiting for another 4 months before re-testing for herpes.
Do you have any symptoms of urethritis i.e urethral discharge? Or burning sensation on passing urine? I would suggest you to take medication for gonorrhea and chlamydia only if you have symptoms. Otherwise medication is only advised if there is lab evidence Or the infection is detected by lab tests.
A equivocal hsv 2 after 2 months of contact and in the presence of positive a hsv type -1 is likely to be a false negative, however, that needs to be confirmed by testing after 3-4 months.
These are STD's and if you have so, these can only be passed on to other with whom you make sexual contact and not through casual contact with family members.

Hsv is only spread by direct contact
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
No, Hsv does not spread through inanimate objects like shairng towels. It only spreads through direct and intimate contact.
Since you are positive for hsv type 1, though you can break out at some time in future but that can not be predicted. Most of the people who have a new/ recent infection with hsv break out often during the first year, however, the frequency of episodes lessens with time so that there may be just a single episode every year or every alternate year after a few years. Certain factors like stress, fever, exposure to strong sun can precipitate an outbreak of herpes.
Gonorrhea, usually presents with pus discharge per urethrum in addition to pain and burning sensation on micturation.
