Can A Person With Herpes Antibodies Transmit Infection To Others?
Question: Hi, I have been advised that I have herpes antibodies in my system. I was told by my doctor not to worry as I don't have the actual infection just only the antibodies. I was just wondering if I can pass herpes onto my partner by having unprotected sex? I look forward to your reply. Kind regards

Presence of antibodies indicate you had a past infection with herpes.
Herpes is known for recurrence. When active lesions are present chances of transmission is higher. Otherwise if asymptomatic and low titres of IGG antibodies, transmission chances are low.
The site of lesion if any, and type of herpes is not clear.
You can get back for any clarification.
