Can A Stomach Ulcer Cause Blood In Urine?

Or can I wait until Monday? Something I need to do right away? I am wondering if it could mean a stomach ulcer that could be caused by a lot of prednisone that my arthritis MD has had me on for several months now.
I have been taking it for muscle inflammation. I am also taking triamterene/hctz that increased urine output a lot but I only take it a couple times a week. The abdominal pressure that I have I thought was my GI tract fullness. I am scheduled for a colonoscopy on April 17. I thought my GI tract was the cause of what I was feeling. Until I discovered possible red in my urine.
It could be dark colored urine. Do a urine routine.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
First of all bleeding in your gastrointestinal tract does not cause blood in the urine.
Do a urine routine test to look for RBC (red blood cells) in the urine. So that we can confirm that the red colour is due to blood or it’s just high colored urine.
Prednisolone is a steroid drug and it can cause high cloured/ dark colored urine.
As of now no need to worry much and continue your current line of treatment according to the plan for your GI problems.
You can consult a local general practitioner in case of persistent symptoms. Drink plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated.
Hope I have answered your query.
