Can A Vaginal Injury Cause Broken Hymen?
Question: I just asked a question and my wife wanted me to ask if you think she broke her "hymen" ..............
I was sitting on the couch and my 5 year old daughter was playing in her room, we heard her fall, my wife ran into check on her and she had her pants pulled down laying on the floor, she was bleeding from her vaginal area, found out she was standing on a chair trying to get something out of the top of her closet and the chair fell over and she landed with her vaginal are on the pole of the chair, it looks a little swollen, it didn't bleed very long, we were able to clean it up with a wet cloth there was quite a bit of blood but it's not bleeding anymore, she just said it's a little sore now, is this something we should go to the hospital for, or just see if it is Ok in the morning? Thanks

Brief Answer:
It can be hymen injury.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
It can be hymen injury.but if it is torn hymen, then that should not cause any worry. In many girls hymen gets torned by various physical activities.
But her urethra can get injured that way , so check out if she is having any injury to her urethra(pee hole).Does she have pain while peeing?
If she is letting her mother see it, then check it out.Or a short visit to doctor is justified.
Hope this helps. Please ask if there are doubts.Regards.
