Question : hi..is it safe to drink alcohol with nattokinase ?

                                    Brief Answer:
should avoid
Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
Nattokinase is an enzyme that is extracted from a japenese food called natto.
It is thought to interact with anti coagulants and anti platelet medications. These are medications that decrease clotting.
Nattokinase is thought to also potentially decrease clotting.
Alcohol also has the potential to decrease clotting so it would be best to avoid alcohol when you are using the nattokinase.
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions

                                    Brief Answer:
exact metabolism not known
Detailed Answer:
HI
Sorry about the late reply
Herbal supplements are not required to undergo testing to determine exact metabolism and rate of excretion from the body.
Only traditional medications have to undergo these tests.
This means that the length of time it takes for nattokinase to be eliminated from your body is not truly known.
It is likely that most of it should be eliminated and it should be safe but unfortunately it is difficult to be sure.
If you are going to use alcohol then you would need to use a very small amount and monitor for any evidence of bleeding though a slim chance.
