Can An Elective C-section Cause Any Harm At 38 Weeks Pregnancy?

Question: Elective C Section at 38 weeks 5 days.

Hello Doctor,
Wife is 38 weeks 2 days pregnant. The pregnancy has been normal till date. We want to schedule an elective CSec at 38 weeks 5 days. Does it have any risk . Is it advisable to schedule the elective CSection at 38 weeks 5 days or only after 39 weeks. Kindly advice.

Due date is December 26th.
C Section Planned on December 16th.
