Can An Online Doctor Explain My Hematology Test Report?
Question: i received lab results and am trying to understand what they mean. I went in due to slight discomfort, wasn't sure if it was a UTI or something else (STD?). No other symptoms are present.
HEMATOLOGY TEST
Hemoglobin = 155, Hemotocrit = 0.45
WBC = 14.3 (Neutrophils = 0.62, Lymphocyte = 0.29, Monocyte = 0.03, Eosinophil = 0.05, Basophil = 0.01
RBC = 5.3, Platelet = 305
URINE TEST
Color = Light Yellow, Transparency = slightly hazy, Reaction = 5.0 (acidic), specific gravity = 1.020, sugar = negative, protein = trace, pus cells = 0-1/hpf, red blood cells = 0-1/hpf, epithelial cells = few, bacteria = occasional, mucus threads = occasional, amorphous urates = occassional

Well looking into your query I will like to tell you that your WBC count is mildly raised rest everything is grossly normal . Urine examination is also not suggestive of anything . This raised WBC count is suggestive of some infection but your urine examination.
In my opinion, the test needs to be repeated; because it is not conclusive of anything .
