Can An Ultrasound Test Detect Anything In The Lungs?

Question: Hello!
I have a quick question regarding what can be concluded from a general ultrasound healthcheck.
Would a doppler-style ultrasound of the entire upper body reveal issues in the lungs, more specifically lung cancer? It can apparently reveal tumours or growths in other internal organs, but not much information on the intestines.
Thanks

Brief Answer:
no ultrasound is not good for assessment of lung
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query.
Ultrasound with or without Doppler is not good at all for detecting anything in the lungs. In fact, in the thorax it can only detect fluid accumulation, but nothing inside the lungs.
For assessment of lungs, preferred modalities are chest X-ray, CT scan and sometimes MRI. But CT is usually the most accurate.
In abdomen what you have mentioned is true. For intestines it is not that good but good for most other organs.
Hope this helps.
