Symptoms of psoriasis can be seen at two levels-
1) Skin rashes... these can be seen in two forms ... either dry flaky &itching rashes seen on skin,where skin goes on getting thick to form piles of flaky skin./Inflammed red to pink skin with itching along with piles of flakes silvery in color..here also itching forms predominant symptom.
It can involve skin any where in body including body folds corners of eyes or scalp.
The rash goes on increasing in size until controlled by medication./triggering factor is controlled
2) Second set of symptoms can be joint pain &inflammation.
*Treatment of psoriasis -
-various ointments like Salicylicacidoint/steroid ointments/cacitriol ointment/coal tar ointment/retinoid ointments ..are used for the treatment ..depending on patients symptoms &susceptibility.
-Phototherapy &laser therapy
-oral /injectable medications c
are to be used for non responding patients.
