Can Blood Donation Be Repeated Within Two Months?
Not advisable
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the query.
It is not advisable to donate blood again within 6 months of blood donation. As you have already donated blood 2 months ago, do not donate blood again. As for WBC too they will collect the whole blood and then separate them into different components of the blood.
Precautions for blood donation would be clean and contaminated free blood collection center and equipments. Drink extra water and fluids, avoid caffeinated and alcoholic beverages before donation.
Side effects seen after blood donation would be tiredness, fatigue, dizziness due to drop in Blood pressure, Bruise over the needle area and sometimes bleeding.
Discuss regarding your recent blood donation with the doctors in the blood donation camp.
Hope this answers your query. If any further questions, will be happy to help you.
Regards.
Thank you for your response.
I am not donating blood in a camp. Actually someone is on ventilator and needs WBC. So I wanted to know if there are not any serious effects of that. The side effects you mentioned above is for short duration or for long period of time?
Thanks & regards,
