Brief Answer:
Knee replacement is last option when all other treatments do not help.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
I have read your problem in detail.
Arthritis in knee is an age related degenerative process. Knee replacement is the last resort if all other modes of treatments like medicines, physiotherapy, intra articular injections and joint lubricant supplements have failed to provide any relief and the pain is so severe that it is felt even at rest.
The need of replacement can be assessed only after a detailed physical examination and response to medicines.
Do consult an orthopedician physically for a detailed evaluation.
I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.

Wishing you good health.
