Detailed Answer:
Hi....
Welcome to "Ask a Doctor"service.
I am Dr Ajeet XXXXXXX
I have gone through your query and here is my opinion.
Cat scratch disease usually presents with fever, headache, malaise, fatigue, poor appetite ,swelling and enlargement of lymph nodes.
It usually does not cause conjunctivitis, ear pain and chest complications.
Usually, cat scratch disease is self limiting and gets reversed in a period of maximum 3 to 4 weeks.
At times an antibiotic course of Azithromycin is prescribed
It is difficult to diagnose as the causative organism Bartonella is difficult to grow and culture.
The Bartonella henselae immunofluorescence assay (IFA) blood test is an accurate way to detect the infection caused by these bacteria.
The test results are read in context of medical history, lab tests, or lymph node biopsy.
Hope that I have answered your query.
If you have any doubts, please let me know.
Stay healthy and stay blessed.
Regards.
