Question: I haven't had sex since 2014 I had Chlamydia that year got treated for it now I recently had sex can the Chlamydia come back being this is a new person

Hi and thanks for this query.

Previous chlamydia infections do not protect against future one. If your new partner is infected, you can again get contaminated. I will suggest you always consider protection during intercourse with new partners until you are all sure through testing that there are no infections. It will not be chlamydia from the old infection but a new infection if your partner is infected.
