Brief Answer: Yes, it can be related Detailed Answer: Hello there, Yes, chronic pain can happen due to prolonged bacterial infection [ due to the bacterial load lodged against any particular area ]and usually viral infection causes decrease in WBC's but certain bacterial infections can also results in decrease in WBC count (leukopenia). Doing a blood and urine culture in laboratory helps to you identify the exact causative organism and it helps to treat the particular infection with appropriate treatment. Visit your treating physician with the reports, so that he can able to treat you with the appropriate antibiotics. Thanks for consulting and feel free to contact for any clarifications or further assistance in future. Take care, Regards, Dr.surendiran.g
