Can Cirrhosis Be Cured?
Question: My mother diagnosed with live cirrhosis. After 2nd day of tapping doctor putting her into ICU and than ventilator (20%).
She is moving legs, sometimes hands, crying in response of family member voices but not opening eyes.
Her ammonia is 55, sodium 135 and CT scan also not found anything acute.

Hi dear,
As her electrolytes are deranged so,she have to admited in hospital and ER is needed to correct them first , hepatologist and neurologist can help her plus she is developing encephalopathy ( brain effected due to liver ) so only admission is good till her atleast electrolytes and ECG are normalised and also need to correct vit D ,

How do we know that electrolyte and egg is ok. Her report is stable from last 6-7 days. LFT KFT ABG CBC and CHEST XRAY being done daily.

ECG should be normal and potassium,sodium in blood should be corrected by ER physician , ammonia is high due to liver disease also if USG not done can be helpful, tests need to be done daily to see response to treatment, yes your treating doctor will decide when to send her back home , once consult with hepatologist and neurologist for long term good prognosis
