Brief Answer:
No this is not permanent, withdrawal symptoms will go in some days

Detailed Answer:
Hello thanks for choosing HCM for your health related queries

Tramadol is an opioid pain medicine and it has potential to cause dependence. Citalopram is a SSRI drug and the drug is known to result in withdrawal syndrome if stopped abruptly. If both drugs are taken together and then stopped without proper tapering of doses then they may cause symptoms like Dizziness, Confusion, Heaviness in head, tremors, craving, anxiety, restlessness, insomnia etc. In most cases severity of symptoms start reducing in about 2-4 weeks but some mild form of symptoms may persist for prolonged periods of time.

So it is advised to taper the doses of both drugs by 20-25% every two weeks and then stopping completely at about 6-8 weeks. In this was withdrawal symptoms are seen in very less severity.

No its not permanent after coming off from Tramadol. It will last for few days and will reduce by own. If the symptoms are severe or causing distress then you can visit your doctor for management. Low dose anti-anxiety drugs like Benzodiazepines as etizolam, clonazepam will reduce the symptoms like heaviness in head. If you have headaches then medicine like OTC analgesics as Paracetamol, Ibuprofen can be used on SOS basis. This will give relief of symptoms and you will feel better. Two weeks has already passed so you have passed acute phase and now the symptoms will start reducing in severity.

Thanks, hope this helps you.
