hiv test results do not get affected by anything

Hello

Thanks for posting your query. I can understand your concern.

The HIV tests that you have taken are confirmatory to rule out HIV infection. No circumstances be it medications, food, infections can affect the HIV test results.

I would recommend that you do not worry about having HIV infection since it has already been ruled out with the help of tests which are considered comfirmatory.

Please let me know if you have any queries. Take care

Brief Answer:
7 months is sufficient

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for your reply.

7 months is sufficient to rule out HIV infection by the CMIA method. This is known as the 4 th generation test. Usually this test gives accurate information by 4 to 6 weeks after infection. In case some people have delayed response, by 12 weeks after exposure, it's definitely confirmatory to rule out HIV infection.

Hence you do not have HIV infection because the test results are negative.

Take care
