Can Cow's Milk Be Given To A One Year Old Child?
Question: Our baby is one year old, we give tond milk to our baby, last night he vomited and now he is hungry but still not feeding, crying due to hunger. Sometimes he does vomiting in alternative days. Can you please suggest in this situation what should we do and give him? Sometimes we use to give him domstal for vomiting as suggested by our regular doctor.
Brief Answer:
Could be due to abdominal colics
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
Cow milk can be difficult to digest and that could lead to abdominal cramps and vomiting. That could be the reason that the child is crying despite hunger. I would suggest restricting cow milk intake and to include plenty of green leafy vegetables in the diet. When the child is crying you can try giving Colicaid Drops 1ml. You can give Domstal when needed. Syr. Ondansetron is more effective and can be given as an alternative to prevent vomiting.
