Question: My Sister has got 10 mm stone in her Galbladder. She is 42 years old and from last few weeks is suffering from fever frequently. Is it necessary to have opeartion or it can be cured by some mediceine

Brief Answer: If related symptoms exist, operation is treatment Detailed Answer: Hi You had not given details about your sister problem. Even though a lot of people have stone in the gall bladder duct they may not produce symptoms. If they have high fever, abdominal pain and / or jaundice, then removal of gall bladder is the first choice. Your sister will fit into this category if she has recurrent bouts of symptoms.
