Can General Joint Pain, Bloating And Lack Of Energy Be Associated With An Allergic Reaction To Pollen?

Question: I live in SE XXXXXXX About 2 weeks ago around same time tree pollen was getting high I started with head congestion, runny nose in AM, some general joint pain, bloating and lack of energy. I started Clariton about same time which has been effective in the past. I am curious if these other symptoms can be attributed to the allergy season.
About 4 weeks ago I stopped taking NSAIDs on instructions from my doctor because my kidney function was a little out of range. I have taken Ibuprofen for hip and joint pain as needed.

Brief Answer:
A possibility of viral infection is more likely.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

I can understand your concern.

I don't think your symptoms like joint pain, bloating, lack of energy are due to allergy.
These symptoms are mostly due to viral infection.

And yes, better not to take NSAIDs for a longer duration as they can cause kidney injury.
You can take Paracetamol tablet for joint pain.

For bloating take Pantoprazole and Levosulpiride combination on empty stomach twice daily.
For lack of energy, drink plenty of fluids orally.

Hope I have solved your query.
I will be happy to help you further.

Wish you good health.
Thanks.

Thank you.
Assuming viral infection there is no need for anti-biotics or other prescribed medications? I just need to have it run it's course in my system, correct?

Brief Answer:
Yes, no need for the antibiotic.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

I can understand your concern.

Yes, no need for an antibiotic in viral infection.
Just drink plenty of fluids orally and keep yourself hydrated.
Do steam inhalation and warm water gargles 5-6 times a day.
Most of the viral infections are self-limiting.
So no need to worry much.

Hope I have solved your query.

Thank you. I am very sorry for the follow up question. But, generally speaking about how long does it take for a "typical" viral infection to run it's course?

Thanks again!
