Can Genital Herpes Be Contracted Through Therapeutic Vibrator?

What would you say the odds are of contracting genital herpes from a therapeutic vibrator used by physiotherapists on their patients? My mom is a physiotherapist, and from 7 to around 10 years of age I used to use this machine on my penis occasionally to masturbate whenever my mom left the house. I am 20 now and still a virgin and wish to soon become sexually active and need to know whether to get tested for hsv 1/2 before having sex. I have had rashes around the genital region before and have seen dermatologists about it before, all of which have said its a form of dermatitis upon viewing. Also I have disclosed this childhood story to a nurse before at an std clinic and showed her the rash (around waist and inner thighs) but she still said it was highly unlikely and thought it looked like a fungal infection of some kind. To summarize, it would really help me out if you could make clear to me whether inanimate object transfer of hsv 1/2 is possible and also how/where I can proceed to get tested if you think there is a reasonably high likelihood that I have contracted this std based on my history.
No it is very less likely in your case.
Detailed Answer:
Dr. Hanif warmly Welcomes you!
Thanks for consulting at my virtual clinic. I have carefully worked through your case, and can realize your health worries. Being your physician, I will take care all of your medical concerns.
I feel sorry for the kid. But don't get panic. Start the treatment and he will be alright.
Give him Infant Tylenol by mouth. Apply Triple Antibiotic Ointment available Over the counter. It will reduce swelling and pain of inflammation and will prevent infection at the site of the bruise.
Apply heat to soothe the baby. Keep a good diet and keep his fever checked regularly. If you feel something not under control, take the kid to the Pediatrician. Also make sure from the pediatrician if he has got all the vaccinations especially for tetanus. If not, go for a catch up vaccination.
Inanimate object may cause the spread of infection if it remained in contact with the secretions of someone who used it and touched it on genitals, tranviginally, transanally or transorally.
But in your case this device is used not on genitals and not to the extent of orgasm that any secretions may have been on it. And you used it for just penile stimulation, and didn't inserted in anus, there is no chance at in my opinion, of you to contract an STD in this way. Sexually transmitted diseases are spread via sexual intercourse or getting directly in contact with body secretions (vaginal secretions, seminal fluid, oral secretions).
Please don't panic and feel relax. You don't need to get tested unnecessarily for an STD.
Have a wonderful time ahead. Hope I answered all of your questions. Let me know if you have any further clinical concerns. I will be happy to get back to you shortly. If satisfied here, please give a five star rating and don't forget to close the discussion.
Regards!
