Can Get As To Possible Causes Feeling Something Stuck In Throat For Over A Month?
Question: I have felt something stuck in throat for over a month and have started to feel around my mouth to try to locate where the sensation is coming from. After further inspection, it may be coming from the glossopalatine arch on the left side. It’s basically on the left side of the back of the soft palate. Nothing is visible such as redness or anything; but when I feel with my tongue, it feels like it’s either swollen or a lump. It has had me very worried for the entire month I’ve had it. I do have an appointment next week but wanted to see if there’s any immediate answers I can get as to possible causes. I’m a 31 year old mostly healthy female.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome to the healthcare services. People with acid reflux generally have lump sensation of thoat. So most of the times there is no growth or mass in the neck. So start taking tablet Esomeprazole 20 mg twice daily before food for 6 week. Drink plenty of water. Avoid smoking, alcohol and spicy food. Drink less tea, coffee. Sleep after 2 hours of dinner. Please visit an ent surgeon whenever possible. Do an endoscopy of the throat to see the exact picture of the throat. But as from history it seems that you are having acid reflux. Please review if you have any queries.
Thanks.
