Can Give Second Opinion On His Condition Based On The Current Diagnosis Respiratory Issues Due To Grunting?
Question: My wife had a premature labor at 37 weeks, with an EDD of September 10th. Our baby was healthy at birth, but after 2 hours, he developed respiratory issues due to grunting, leading to his admission to the NICU. He was discharged yesterday, and I have attached the discharge summary and other reports. I would appreciate your second opinion on his condition based on the current diagnosis. Also, during sleep, he still grunts— is this normal?

Brief Answer:
No need to worrry
Detailed Answer:
I have seen the reports and discharge summary
This is a common problem in late preterm babies. No need to worry. I don't think baby will need further care inhospital. Baby should recover well. Do continue medicines as advised and don't forget to get repeat ECho at 2 weeks to make sure the heart is getting better ( this happens mostly positively as lung recovers pressures on right heart is relieved )
Your baby should be fine.
Just follow up regularly with the hospital

Hello Sir, one follow-up.. during baby's time in NICU, doctor has been providing him with Nestle Pro Stage 4, and when I checked in the box, it has been advised for age above 18 - 24 months.. since mother milk is not sufficient.. so some time we have been feeding him with Stage 4 powder..
I am checking with hospital why they provided Stage 4 formula powder but I wanted to check with you as well.. do you see any effect with this.?
Fyi. Babes weight as of last Thu is 3.1 KG..
