Can Heart Beat Faster If Stressed Or Using Muscles Is This The Case?
Question: Hi. I’ve been having this issue lately that when I turn in bed- and use my arms to turn over or pull up the covers (where any kind of strength is used) my heart beats faster and then goes back to normal. I don’t know if I am more aware of it now as my ekg showed sinus tachardia due to anxiety and my doctor wasn’t concerned. She said it’s anxiety and heart can beat faster if stressed or using muscles. Is this the case?
Brief Answer:
Can be related to anxiety.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
The fast heart beat you are having may be related to anxiety.
It is not especially related to rolling into bad or pulling up covers but they are more common at night.
If your doctor did an ecg and it was found nothing to be concerned about then you should not worry about it.
Just continue the anxiety treatment.
Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Thanks.
