Brief Answer:
The risk is more from saliva if someone has active sores and less otherwise
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Saliva carries virus particles and is infectious. Therefore when fresh saliva comes in direct contact with genital mucosa it can lead to seeding of infection. This is contrary to saliva coming in contact with intact skin because the virus cannot penetrate stratum corneum (outermost dead layer of skin). Mucosae like genital, oral and anal are prone to infection because they are devoid of protective stratum corneum. Hence if someone asks me if a moist kiss on cheek transmit herpes?my answer would be No. Whereas lip to lip kiss can transmit.
I cannot give you the exact risk figure in your case because there are no studies which determine risk through this route but in general the risk of transmission of virus is more if the individual who performed genital stimulation had active oral herpes sores because then the number of viral particles would have been more and therefore higher chances of innoculation. In contrast subclinical/silent or asymptomatic herpes infection carries lesser chances of infection because the viral shedding is less and infrequent.
