Can Herpes Get Into The Lungs And Become Fatal?

Question: if you have herpes for over 30 years can it go into your lungs and kill you. I didn't know I had it for all these years and now my lungs have been like bronchitis for 3 years and the doctors dont know whats wrong I don't get clear.

Hi,

Unfortunately, it is possible for herpes infection to spread to the lower respiratory tract of the lungs... This can not be diagnosed clinically and requires a bronchoscopy examination to visualize the respiratory tract, take tissue samples for analysis in order to confirm the diagnosis or exclude it.
