Can High Sex Drive Cause Hormonal Imbalances?
Question: Hi - I've a quick question..can too much sex with partner causes harmonal imbalances? We have been marriaged since 2 yrs and before marriage, I used to fit and fine..full of body mass..after two yrs of sex, i'm feeling sluggish, fatigue, lost muscle mass, gained weight, experiencing bloating and gas..digestion problems etc..feel all the time tired, sometimes short of breath..my whole body became loose..no more active than i used to be..please suggest..can a break of not having intercourse will for 2-3 months will solve this problem? my testosterons level looks good.
Thanks,

Brief Answer:
No such thing
Detailed Answer:
Hi
I am Dr Mittal.
I have read your query.I think I may be able to help you.
There is no such thing as change in the hormones after intercourse.
The possibility is that your exercise and diet regime may have changed.
Correct that and I think it would be great.
Best of luck.

Hi -
Thanks for the reply.
I've one more question. As per my recent thyroid tests, TSH, T3, T4 all are in normal range but my TPO (thyroid perxidase antibodies) is very high i.e. 203 which should have been under 9. Would you please let me know how can i reduce the TPO level? can selenium intake helps in reducing this level? If yes, how much should I take in the form of supplement?I'm taking 50mcg synthroid on daily basis.
Thanks,
